The year is 2006 and you’re headed to summer camp with your squad in a bomb tie dye tee. Just kidding it’s 2019 and tie dye is back with a vengeance. I first started to see tie dye trend in the incubation stage last spring but now I am seeing it everywhere from more prestige brands as Ralph Lauren to fast fashion dupes.
The prices vary but I am all about saving that spend so I decided it would be fun to create my own tie dye creation for a fraction of the cost with items purchased from Michael’s craft store. If you are in need of a fun project to do this weekend with yourself or friends have a tie dye day. Below I am sharing my tie dye tutorial, materials needed, and a few cute pieces you could buy if DIY projects aren’t your thing.
If you decide to try use the hashtag #TAYTRESCHICDIY if you post so I can see!
Materials Needed
T-shirt or bandana ( I want to do a bucket hat & a canvas tote next)
One step tie dye kit (you can use whatever dye you want this was just so easy all . materials were included)
