Confession: There was a time when I hated wearing the same outfit twice. I know, sounds silly but this was back in high school and college. Fast forward to adult Taylor. I still low key hate repeating outfits but as a bill paying woman on a budget I have to be realistic and maximize what I do have.

If you have ever looked at your wardrobe with the I-have-nothing-to-wear face, or have favorite pieces that you want to wear differently then this post is for you. I took one dress I purchased from Century 21 for $12.00 (sold out-see similar) and I style it multiple ways. I like the challenge of not wearing the same piece in the same way if possible. This allows me to show my creativity and to get the most wear out of my beloved pieces. Before we get into the looks with similar links below are a few tips to maximize what you do have.

1. Layer it up. What can you add to make the look more appealing? A jacket, tights, scarf?

2. Transform the original purpose. If it’s a dress can it be a shirt or skirt? If it is a skirt can it be a shirt?

3. Use your shoes. Shoes can create the whole vibe. Can you throw on a sneaker and bomber for an athleisure look? Could you unbutton the top and throw on a strappy sandal for a date ready look?

4. Accesorize. What earrings can be switched up? Can you throw on a hat? Would a funky clutch add some spice?
